State Privacy Laws
Residents of some states have rights with respect to their personal information based on laws in those jurisdictions. FinThrive is committed to meeting our obligations to residents of those states and provide the state notices below to more fully describe how to exercise those rights.
Rights provided under state laws do vary, but generally include:
- Right to know what personal information is collected/shared/sold
- Right to request that FinThrive delete your personal information
- Right to correct inaccurate information
- Right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information
Certain information may be exempt from such rights under applicable law. Other requests may not be fulfilled for various reasons, including, but not necessarily limited to requests where we cannot verify your identity or duplicate requests that have been previously processed.
FinThrive will not discriminate against you because you exercise your rights. For example, we will not deny you goods or services or charge you a different price or rate for goods or services if you make a request under an applicable state privacy law.
How to Exercise your Privacy Rights
The privacy rights request process is reserved for residents of California (CA) or Virginia (VA) at this time. By following the instructions provided below and submitting your request, you attest that you are a resident of CA or VA, or an authorized agent submitting this request on behalf of a resident of CA or VA.

How long will it take to have my request fulfilled?
Opt-out requests can take up to 15 business days to process. Access, Deletion, and Correction requests typically will be processed within 45 days, but may take as long as 90 days. If we expect the request to take longer than 45 days, we'll let you know.
Will my request be applied to all the information that FinThrive has received from me and other sources?
No. The privacy rights provided under state laws exclude certain information such as certain health information, financial information, driving records, and consumer report information which are obtained and protected under other federal laws. Your request will be applied to all applicable information that we maintain.
